“Welcome to Godot Dash. After around 4 years in development, hopefully it will have been worth the wait™”
— Gabe Prism
It's hard to put into words how happy I am to finally reach this moment.
It's been almost four years since the first devlog of Godot Dash V1, and around two and a half years since the development of V2 started.
I would like to thank my contributors, and more specifically PullSL and PushSL, for their tremendous help on the project.
Their most notable contributions are:
- icon customisation
- redesigning the interface of the game to fit the style of the level editor
- input remapping
- touch screen support
- replays
- physics objects
- some editor features
- some player icons
- and a bunch of bug fixes!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
The game is still far from finished. We're still missing features from Geometry Dash, including triggers such as Start Pos and all the shader triggers, and the game still contains sprites from Geometry Dash such as the level background and every portal sprite, and there probably are a lot of bugs we've yet to uncover.
Nevertheless, we're happy to announce the first alpha release of Godot Dash. It's available for Linux, Windows and Android, and you can download it on the repository's releases page.
